Samantha Thompson, 22, and Dean Lawson, 23, lost their appeal against conviction for the manslaughter of Thompson's two-year-old son. Each blamed the other, but the judges said that whoever had caused the fatal injury, the other must have heard the screams 'yet did nothing'.
