A former soldier has won compensation from the Ministry of Defence for the racial discrimination he suffered while serving with the 1st Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Wales, the Commission for Racial Equality said. Anthony Evans, of Gwent, is thought to have been awarded pounds 8,500.
