Blood ruling

The High Court ruled that a 10-month-old girl, from Dagenham, east London, who has leukaemia could be given blood transfusions without the consent of her Jehovah's Witness parents. Camden council agreed that Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children would consult the parents over non-life threatening treatment.
