Bombs defused

An IRA Mark 15 mortar bomb was defused by the Army at Clady, Co Londonderry. The bomb was in a van abandoned at the side of a road. The vehicle had been hijacked last Monday in Co Tyrone. Earlier a mortar bomb was defused in west Belfast.
