Borrie may lead Labour review

Sir Gordon Borrie, former Director General of Fair Trading, was last night expected to be appointed to lead the Labour Party Commission into Social Justice, reviewing the future of the tax and benefits system. Sir Gordon, 61, was prominent in public service during the Callaghan government and was a Parliamentary Labour candidate in the 1950s.
