Boy, 2, died copying hero

Jake Tierney, two, strangled himself with a burglar-alarm sensor wire as he tried to imitate an American wrestler who enters the ring with a snake round his neck, an inquest in Manchester was told.

The boy, who died after being found unconscious in his bedroom in Sale, Greater Manchester, last November, had watched his hero, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, on television and used to copy him, his parents said. The coroner

recorded a verdict of

misadventure.
