A 16-year-old boy was last night charged with the murder of Akhlaq Ahmed Razzaq, nine, from Slough in Berkshire.

A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the boy would appear before magistrates in the town this morning. He was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and questioned at Maidenhead police station.

Akhlaq was strangled and his naked body dumped in Salt Hill Park, Slough, last Sunday.
