Philip Hobbs, 16, a joyrider who died with two friends when a stolen car he was driving ploughed into a coach, had begged for help to stop his obsession, his mother said. Philip and his friends died instantly when the high-powered Astra GTE crossed a red light in Batley, West Yorkshire, while fleeing a police car and rammed into the double-decker coach at 70mph.
