Two 12-year-old boys appeared before Leeds youth court yesterday and were remanded into local authority care until 24 December accused of causing grievous bodily harm to an 8-year-old boy. The remand followed claims by the boy that he had been beaten up by two older boys when he refused to join a shoplifting foray. The boy was last night recovering in the children's ward at St James's Hospital, Leeds.
