British tourist shot in Florida

A London man narrowly escaped death when he was shot in an attempted armed robbery outside his holiday home in Florida.

David Cornwell, 50, was returning to the house near Orlando with his family when two robbers walked up and fired a shot which grazed his head. The Cornwells rushed inside and slammed the front door as the robbers fired another shot and fled. Mr Cornwell received hospital treatment but was not detained.
