The two Britons who were among 160 crew and passengers killed in China's worst air disaster on Monday were named as Peter Bailey, 26, and Ian Williams, in his late twenties, both of Bulwell, Nottingham. They were on a trip to the terracotta army at Xian, north China, before Mr Bailey joined his wife in Hong Kong.

The flight recorder of China Northwest's Russian-built Tupolev-154, which crashed shortly after take-off from Xian, was being examined.
