The High Court rejected a claim for compensation by a man who contracted aplastic anaemia, a life-threatening blood disorder, after exposure to the wood treatment chemical Lindane. William Gaskill, 26, of Leeds, was told his illness could not be blamed on the chemical or the contractors Rentokill.
