A TWO-YEAR-OLD girl was killed by lightning yesterday as she picked potatoes with her mother on a farm at Faversham, in Kent.

Police said the child, who has not been named but lived in the town, was dead on arrival at Kent and Canterbury Hospital. Her mother was also struck but was only slightly injured.
