A child molester released by a High Court judge on Wednesday will receive treatment at a special clinic for men who abuse members of their families, Nottingham District Health Authority disclosed.
Mr Justice Alan Ward freed the middle-aged man, who admitted abusing his teenage daughter, after Nottinghamshire County Council said it could not afford to pay for the pounds 15,000-a-year treatment. He said the council had been 'irresponsible' and had left him no alternative. Yesterday, the authority said it would pay for the man to attend the Gracewell Clinic in Birmingham until arguments over who should pay for the treatment were resolved.
