A gannet being cleaned at the RSPCA Centre at West Hatch, Taunton, Somerset. The care centre has about 160 seabirds, most rescued from oil pollution around the south coast. The bills of larger birds are tied during cleaning to protect the assistants - a toothbrush is used to keep their mouths open so they can breathe.
