Twenty-four crew members were treated in hospital yesterday after faulty wiring caused a fire on a cross-Channel ferry. It was discovered as the Stena Londoner was entering the harbour at Newhaven, East Sussex, after sailing from Dieppe. No passenger was affected but 24 of the crew were treated for smoke inhalation at Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
