Aretrial was ordered when a jury could not agree in the case of Chris Cole, a peace protestor who caused pounds 90,000 of damage to missile nose cones and equipment at the British Aerospace plant at Stevenage, Hertfordshire, in January. The judge at Luton Crown Court said: ' . . . you must decide whether what he did could in any reasonable way prevent crime'.
