CCTV shows woman pour hot noodles on man's head before assault

Police released footage of the incident that occurred outside a noodle bar in London's Argyll Street

In an appeal for information, police have released CCTV footage showing a woman pouring hot noodles on a man's head before he is assaulted.

What began with a row over a seat ended with the victim being assaulted by a man, having his eyebrow "split open" and needing five stitches.

Police report that the male suspect had tried to sit on the victim's lap as part of the heated exchange.

The incident occurred between 3.15 and 3.45am on August 30 at a noodle bar in Soho, London.

Police describe the man as 6ft 4ins tall, of medium build and with long blond shoulder-length hair. He was dressed in dark clothing.

The woman is described as having ginger coloured hair.

Police would like to hear from anyone who recognises the couple or may have witnessed the assault.
