Chef jailed over hoax bomb call
A chef who made a hoax phone call claiming his estranged wife was about to board a transatlantic flight with a bomb was jailed for 12 months yesterday.
Kevin Flynn claimed the device was being taken on a New York-bound flight by his wife, Kerensa, at either Heathrow or Gatwick.
Flynn, 31, from Dorrington, West Sussex, admitted making the call from a phone box on 31 July after the couple split up.
Prosecutor Ed Hand told Chichester Crown Court: "His motivation was to get her stopped and humiliated." PA
