A man has been charged with murder after a woman was stabbed to death at a house in north London.

Criston Preddie, 28, was arrested after the 46-year-old victim was killed on Saturday.

The Metropolitan Police said it was called to reports of a seriously injured woman at a residential address on Tennyson Close, Enfield, at 7.23pm.

A spokesperson added: “Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and found a woman in her 40s suffering stab injuries.

“She was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.”

The woman has not yet been named but Scotland Yard said she was believed to be related to the suspect.

Mr Preddie, of Tennyson Close, will appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
