Farmer denies murdering wife

A farmer today denied murdering his estranged wife who went missing from their 200-acre property 20 months ago.

Kate Prout, 55, disappeared from £1.2m Redhill Farm, in Redmarley D'Abitot, Gloucestershire, on Bonfire Night 2007.

Adrian Prout, 47, who runs a pheasant shoot, pleaded not guilty to murdering Mrs Prout, whose body remains missing, at Bristol Crown Court today.
