Father and daughter die in Essex village

A father and daughter died after being found with serious injuries in a detached house in a village yesterday.

The pair – named locally as Costas Pierides, 48, and Margaret Pierides, 16 – were discovered at the property in Sible Hedingham, Essex, at about 10am. Mr Pierides was pronounced dead at the scene. His daughter died after being airlifted to hospital. Police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the inquiry.
