Four Lithuanian men have been charged with murdering an Italian teenager who only arrived in Britain ten days before the attack to learn English.

The four men, aged 21 to 30, will appear in court on Friday accused of killing Joele Leotta, 19, Kent police said last night.

Ten people have been arrested over the killing of Mr Leotta and an attack on his friend, named in Italy as Alex Galbiati. The four men, who live in Maidstone, have also been charged with grievous bodily harm.

Mr Leotta was airlifted to hospital on Sunday night after a fight in a flat above the Vesuvius Italian restaurant in Maidstone, Kent, where he was working while he learned English. He had head, neck and back injuries, according to reports.

“I don’t think he had time to get into any sort of trouble,” the dad man’s father Ivan Leotta told the Corriere della Serra.
