A teenager has been stabbed to death in a park in north London, police have confirmed.

Officers were called to reports of a stabbing at 3.30pm on Thursday in Northwick Park, Harrow.

A man, believed to be 17 years old, was found suffering from stab wounds. He was given first aid at the scene by officers before the London Ambulance Service arrived.

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at 4.31pm,” said a spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police.

The teenager’s next of kin have been informed. No arrests have been made with regards to the incident and officers are carrying out enquiries.

A crime scene has been put in place. Any member of the public who may have information about the incident should contact the police.

“No detail you might have is too small - every bit of information helps towards the fight against knife crime in London,” added the spokesperson.
