Four men have been charged with the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Wales.

The body of Harry Baker, who lived in Cardiff, was discovered at Barry Docks in south Wales on Wednesday morning.

Peter McCarthy, 36, and Ryan Palmer, 33, both from Barry, were charged with his murder on Saturday and appeared in court on the same day.

The pair were not granted bail and will appear at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday.

A further two men, Raymond Thompson, 47, from Barry, and Nathan Delafonteine, 32, who has no fixed address, have also been charged with his murder, and will attend Cardiff Magistrates Court on Monday

A 21-year old man and a 22-year-old man remain under arrest and in police custody, while a 38-year-old woman has been released under investigation, South Wales Police said.

Police were notified at 5.50am on 28 August that Harry’s body had been discovered at Barry Intermodal Terminal.

His family paid tribute to the teenager, saying “life will never be the same again” following his death.

“Harry is a fun-loving son and brother where family time was always precious – making memories on holidays, snowmobiling in Lapland, parasailing and riding the biggest and scariest rollercoasters in America,” his family said in a statement on Thursday.

“Harry worked hard and enjoyed working alongside his dad as a carpet fitter on occasions, he always took pride in his work; he loved expressing to us whenever he received a tip from a customer.

“Life will never be the same again without our beautiful son Harry. There was never a dull moment when you were around as your presence was so vibrant.”
