Two charged after 'appalling' Halloween knife attack in north London
Two men were left with stab injuries after the fight where the attackers were armed with a baseball bat and a machete.
Two men have been charged after using a machete and a baseball bat in an “appalling” attack on Halloween.
Detectives investigating the violent attack in Enfield where two men were stabbed have issued an urgent plea for any witnesses to come forward.
Officers were called to Firs Lane just after 10pm last Saturday (31 October) after reports of a fight in the street.
Two men, aged 18 and 21, were found with stab injuries and were taken to hospital.
There injuries were later deemed non-life threatening. During the attack another man was chased and hit repeatedly with a machete, and another was attacked with a baseball bat.
Two men have been arrested and charged in connection to the incident, and Scotland Yard have said enquiries continue.
Det Insp Sal Minhas said: “This was an appalling attack that has left a number of people injured and shocked. “We need to hear from anyone who has information about this incident and can help identify all those involved. “Community intelligence can be used to great effect to not only detect, but also prevent crime. I am sure there will be other witnesses yet to come forward, and I urge you, no matter how insignificant you may think your information may be, to contact us.”
