A man will appear in court this morning charged with three counts of murder following a fire that killed a grandmother, teenage mother and baby girl at a house in South Wales.

Kim Buckley , 46, her daughter Kayleigh, 17, and six-month-old granddaughter Kimberley all died in the blaze at their home in Cwmbran on Tuesday morning.

Carl Mills, 28, will appear at Caerphilly Magistrates' Court.

The blaze ripped through the property at 15 Tillsland, Coed Eva in the early hours of Tuesday.

Kayleigh had recently given birth to twin daughters and was still coming to terms with the tragedy of losing one shortly after birth.

Mills, the father of the twins, was arrested on Tuesday.

Senior Investigating Officer for Gwent Police, Detective Superintendent Pete Jones, said: "Our thoughts remain with the family of Kim, Kayleigh and Kimberley at this difficult time.

"I would like to thank the family and the wider community of Coed Eva for their patience and support throughout our investigation so far."
