Met police seize Eta suspect

A suspected Basque terrorist was arrested yesterday in London, one of four Eta suspects taken into custody in the UK over the last few months.

Kemen Uranga Artola, 43, was seized by officers from the Metropolitan Police's extradition unit over alleged terrorism-related offences in Spain.

Artola had been on the run for 12 years, according to Spain's Interior Ministry. It said that in 2000 he helped members of Eta by finding them accommodation and storing explosives.

He later fled Spain and is believed to have used false documents while living in London.
