Detectives are offering a £10,000 reward for tracing a man wanted in connection with the murder of Anita Gindha, who was eight months pregnant when she was strangled to death while her 18-month-old son was with her.

The reward is being offered by the Metropolitan Police for information leading to the arrest of Palwinder Singh Dhillon, 64. Mr Dhillon, a Sikh with a long white beard who wears a turban and is occasionally seen with glasses, comes from the Punjab but is believed to be in the UK.

Ms Gindha, 22, was found dead on the sofa at her home in Manor Park, east London, by her husband, Kashmir Ralh, 32, a builder, on his return from work at 6pm on 19 February. Police believe she was strangled with a ligature, possibly made of cloth, in the morning. There was no evidence that the killing was racially or sexually motivated.
