Telford baby missing: Nine-week-old infant snatched from his home sparks urgent police appeal

The child may be in the company of a white woman between 30 and 40 years of age

Police have launched an urgent appeal after a nine-week- old baby went missing from his home in Telford, Shropshire.

Officers were alerted shorty before 3pm on Wednesday to reports the infant had been taken from an address on Manor Road in Arleston.

The baby was wearing a blue woollen jacket and a cream baby-gro with a teddy bear on the left hand side.

It is thought the child may be in the company of a white woman between 30 and 40 years of age with dyed reddish brown hair, worn off her face, according to West Mercia Police.

She is also understood to be around 5ft 5ins tall, have a lump under her nose and a gap between her front teeth.

The woman was last seen wearing an army green zip-up jacket and a small black bag over her shoulder.

Anyone with any information is urged to call police on 101 quoting incident number 406s of Wednesday 24 February.
