Pair remanded over boy's death

A woman and her partner have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of her four-year-old son.

Magdelena Luczak, 26, and Mariusz Krezolek, 32, both of Leyburn Close, appeared at Coventry Magistrates' Court this morning for a brief hearing where they spoke only to give their names and addresses and to confirm they understood the murder charge against them.

Prosecutor John McCann told the court Luczak was the child's mother and Krezolek his stepfather. All three lived together in Leyburn Close.

No application for bail was made and both defendants were remanded in custody to appear at Warwick Crown Court on March 13.
