Police launch murder probe in West Belfast after body is found in boot of car

Police in Northern Ireland have launched a murder investigation after a man's body was found in a car boot.

The discovery was made in the Windsor Road area of South Belfast.

A man and a woman aged in their 20s have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Investigators are also examining a scene at the Church Gate apartments in the Mill Street area of Comber as part of their inquiries, according to Detective Chief Inspector John McVea.

"I appeal to anyone who was in or around the Church Gate Studios late last night or earlier this morning and heard a disturbance or noted any suspicious activity to contact detectives at Newtownards 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111," he said.
