Woman flings wares on the ground in 'racist' rant at shop staff in Bethnal Green

CCTV has been released showing an unnamed woman chucking store goods onto the floor during a racist tirade outside a shop in East London.

Staff at Fresh Go in Bethnal Green had refused to sell her alcohol, as she already appeared drunk.

Metropolitan Police have said she blocked customers from coming in - continuing to demand that she be sold spirits.

As the shop refused further, police say the woman began to racially abuse the staff, hurling stock at them and across the floor.

The incident occurred on Sunday, June 26 at about 12.15pm.

Police have released the footage as they are seeking further information about the woman.

She is described as black, of large build, in her mid-20s, 5ft 5ins tall wearing a grey t-shirt, black trousers, white trainers and a chequered shawl.

She also had black shoulder length hair and wore black rimmed glasses.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 218809, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
