Myra Hindley's ashes will be scattered at a secret location to prevent her grave becoming a macabre tourist attraction, it was revealed last night. The date and time of her funeral will be kept secret for security reasons.

A coroner will conduct an inquest at Highpoint prison tomorrow, 36 years after her conviction in 1966. Until then, her body will be held at West Suffolk hospital where she died of respiratory failure at 4.58pm on Friday. Hindley colluded with her boyfriend Ian Brady in the torture and killing of five children between 1963 and 1965. Brady is an inmate at Ashworth Hospital, Merseyside.
