One of the suspects was described by police as wearing white trainers, light denim jeans and a red hooded jacket, and had plaited hair.

A second attacker is said to have been aged in his 30s.

“Officers from the Central South BCU are investigating and have carried out extensive enquiries,” added the spokesperson.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have dash cam footage from nearby roads during the relevant timeframe, is urged to contact police on 101, quoting the reference Cad 1380/13Jun20.
