A teenager who is being sought in connection with the brutal murder of a 46-year-old woman has been named as Doraj Miah.

Mr Miah, 19, is suspected of murdering Hazel Prager, whose naked body was discovered on Monday afternoon.

The public have been warned not to approach Mr Miah if they should see him, but to contact the police immediately.

The suspect, who is described as 5ft 4in tall, slim and of Bangladeshi origin, was named after Miss Prager's bloodstained body was discovered behind a hedge, only a few yards away from a foot path near Aldborough Hatch Farm in Hainault, Essex, on Monday at 1.15pm.

Miss Prager was attacked as she walked the short distance from a swimming pool in Barkingside, Essex, to her parents' home in Aldborough.

A young cyclist came across her body more than three hours after the murder.

The part-time teacher from Camden, north London, was found naked apart from her socks and a piece of clothing wrapped around her neck. Her throat had been slashed with a knife. Police believe she was killed near the spot where her body was discovered.

A fairway of a golf course runs nearby and players have been interviewed.

Her clothes lay near the scene of the crime along with some of Mr Miah's personal belongings, including his unemployment benefit book. The knife was also discovered nearby.

Police visited the home of Mr Miah's brother in Barkingside, Essex, but the suspect was not found there. Yesterday, it was revealed that Mr Miah had a history of mental health problems.
