A teenager stabbed to death in south London was yesterday named as 16-year-old Yemurai Kanyangarara.

The boy was killed in broad daylight on Friday in Welling, Bexley. Onlookers described blood "pouring" out of his neck.

A man arrested in connection with the investigation has been released without further action, Scotland Yard have said.

Officers attended the scene on Friday, but ambulance crews were unable to save the boy, who died later at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Plumstead.

Sam Pope, 19, told how she saw three boys fleeing the scene. "The boy was standing up and I saw blood absolutely pouring out of his neck."
