Three police officers resign in misconduct probe

Three police officers resigned during an investigation into alleged misconduct, a force said today.

Two of the officers from Lincolnshire Police were arrested over allegations relating to "property found in their possession," Supt Paula Wood said.

They remain on police bail.

Another officer and a civilian worker have also resigned.

All four were suspended from their jobs at Louth Police Station on August 25.

A file has been forwarded to the Crown Prosecution Service, a police spokeswoman said.

The force said it expected "high standards of discipline and conduct from all of its officers".
