Two accused over dog attack on postman
A father and daughter today appeared in court accused of an offence after a postman was attacked by two Rottweiler dogs while delivering Christmas mail.
Robert Stewart, 44, and his daughter Emma, 22, both of Cambridge, appeared before magistrates in the city accused of being responsible for a dog which "caused injury in a private place".
Neither entered any plea to the allegation and the hearing was adjourned until 17 August.
Neither were remanded in custody.
Postman Keith Davies, who is in his mid-50s, suffered severe injuries and needed surgery as a result of the attack in the week before Christmas 2008.
