A woman who killed two men has been jailed for a minimum of 19 years after being found guilty of murder.

Tracey Van Dungey, 43, stabbed Carl Everson, 41, three times in the neck as he lay unconscious on her living room floor.

He bled to death within two minutes of the attack in October last year, the Old Bailey heard.

Van Dungey, of Sugden Way, Barking, east London, who had personality disorders and was an alcoholic, was jailed for life and told she would have to serve at least 19 years.

Van Dungey was jailed for 42 months for manslaughter in 2004 when her partner Kevin Qui died after being punched and kicked by her.

Mr Everson, who had two children and three stepchildren, had been to a party at her flat and had been attacked by another woman, Kelly Gentry, 39.

Van Dungey claimed she had killed Mr Everson "to put an end to his suffering".

Gentry, of Bedford Road, Tottenham, north London, was found guilty of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and remanded for reports.

Judge Stephen Kramer told Van Dungey she killed Mr Everson in a "violent, drunken attack".

Mr Everson, who had also been drinking, was beaten and stamped on before the defendant "took advantage of his vulnerability and killed him".

The judge said: "I do not accept you did it as an act of mercy. You also appear to have removed his property."

Mr Everson's sister Anita said in a statement: "We have sat in court trying to find out what happened but neither defendant gave evidence. Instead we are left wondering."
