Woman murdered on Krakow study trip
A woman with joint British and Polish nationality has been killed while studying in Krakow. The body of the 21-year-old art-history student, who lived in the UK, was found lying next to a railway embankment in the city.
She had been staying in a flat with relatives during the month-long trip and told them on Friday that she was going out to meet someone. Her body was found nearby the next morning.
Katarzyna Cislo, a Krakow police spokeswoman, identified the victim only as "Katherine" and said: "She had been hit by a hard object on the head. It caused her death. This evening when she died, she had a meeting with someone. We don't know who this man or woman was."
