Woman wakes to find intruder reaching through her cat flap

Police Scotland are searching for the man following the incident in the early hours of Thursday morning

Police are appealing for information after a woman allegedly woke up in the middle of the night to find a man reaching into her house through a cat flap.

The woman was sleeping at her home in Logie Crescent, Perth, when she heard the sound of the cat flap being opened at around 12.40am on Thursday.

When she went to investigate the noise she found a man reaching his arms through the cat flap and into the kitchen.

After he was disturbed, the man looked through the window before running off in an unknown direction.

Police Scotland are investigating the incident.

The man is described as being in his early 20s, about 5ft 7in in height, of slim build and with short dark hair. He was clean shaven and wearing a dark-coloured hooded top,

Anyone with information about the incident or who saw a man matching the description is asked to contact the police.
