A doctor was remanded on bail at St Albans magistrates' court charged with the manslaughter of Bethan Little, four. Dr Cynthia Gabriel, 54, of Hertfordshire, was consultant paediatrician at St Albans City Hospital when Bethan received growth hormone treatment in June 1991. She died later that month in Great Ormond Street Hospital, London.
