Lord Denning, the former Master of the Rolls, has lost a five-year battle to stop traffic using a path on his land in Hampshire.
An appeal by Lord Denning, 94, and 10 other objectors was rejected by Michael Howard, Secretary of State for the Environment. He upheld an order by Hampshire County Council to turn the path at St Mary Bourne into a byway open to all traffic.
