A drink-driver who sped off after running down and killing a pedestrian in Huyton, Liverpool, was jailed for four years.

Francis Lindley-Buckler, of Southport, Merseyside, admitted causing the death of Garry Johnston, 25, by dangerous driving on 9 August last year, and failing to provide a breath specimen.

Liverpool Crown Court was told that Lindley-Buckler was driving a borrowed Jaguar XJS. He was also banned from driving for five years.
