Adam Faith, the actor and former pop star, was banned from driving for 21 days and fined pounds 800 by magistrates at Rotherham, South Yorkshire, for driving at speeds of 110mph along the M1. Faith, 52, of Sunbridge, Kent, who had pleaded guilty by post, answered to his real name, Terrance Nelhams-Wright, when he appeared in court to urge magistrates to allow him to keep his driving licence because of contractual commitments.
