A teenaged died and a second man was fighting for his life after being taken ill at a 'rave' in Ayr, Scotland. Police believed ecstasy-type drugs circulating at the party were to blame. John Nisbet, 18, of New Cumnock, Ayrshire, died without regaining consciousness eight hours after collapsing. A man in his early twenties, who had not been identified, was still unconscious at Ayr hospital. Four other people sought hospital treatment.

About 1,000 people attend the regular Saturday night event at a seafront club, Hangar 13.
