Detectives investigating the murder of Rachel Nickell on Wimbledon Common, south London, said yesterday that they were prepared to accept any offers of help as a former FBI agent flew from the US to help find her killer.
Robert Ressler, an expert on sex murders, who helped the author Thomas Harris with his book Silence of the Lambs, hoped to build up a profile of the murderer.
