Faces of 1993 go on show at Royal Society of Portrait Painters' annual exhibition

Paintings on view at the opening yesterday of the portrait artists' exhibition at the Mall Galleries in central London. They include Paul Brason's studies of Sir Michael Tippett and Jacob Rees-Mogg, and a self-portrait by Louise Courtnell. The show will run until 27 May Photograph: John Voos
