David Allwood, manager of the Anglo Flora farm near Manea in Cambridgeshire, standing in 50 acres of daffodils that could not be harvested for Mothering Sunday. Mr Allwood said that DSS rules on part-time work meant the farm could only attract 30 pickers instead of the 400 required, so the blooms did not reach the shops
